How's your aura?
Ever met someone who radiates such confidence and poise in both their body language and speech, you're compelled to think: "Boy! They'll really mean business. They'll surely go far"?
And, because you perceive them to be someone who is a mover and shaker, the chances are you will treat them far more seriously than someone who is diffident and unsure of themselves.
Do you see that same magnetic aura, when you look in the mirror every morning?
If not. You should. So here's how to go about creating an aura of confidence around youself.
Body language predates speech. Long before man discovered how to communicate by speaking, we had to judge if a person was a friend or foe entirely from their demeanour. These days, even though we don’t entirely depend on this facility, it's still there in the background. So, when we meet someone who radiates confidence in themselves we automatically respond favorably towards them.
So it creates a virtuous upward spiral for the confident person. Act confidently and the world will respond favourably. This favorable treatment will, in turn, engender more confidence you.
So how do you create your confidence in the first place?
It always does wonders for your confidence if you are well groomed and dressed in good clothes appropriate to the circumstances.
Then, by simply by picturing yourself in a successful situation you've already experienced. Perhaps winning a valuable contract or being praised by someone whose opinion you value – it may be as simple as passing your driving test. The truth is, if you have achieved some success in your life – no matter how small – you can draw from that well of success to create your confidence which, in turn will lead to greater and greater success.
