This is the "information age" and peoples thirst for knowledge to help them improve their lives has never been greater.
One of the easiest ways to get ideas for information products is to check on the market and find search engine keywords you might not have thought of, all that the same time, is to go to:
It's a really great tool for suggesting keyword combinations you hadn't thought of. The figures beside the entry show how many search egine results there are for each keyword or keyword phrase.
Obviously, the lower the number of pages listed, the smaller the competition.
However, we will use it for a different purpose!
If you enter “How to” in the box, you will get a list of subjects, like this:
The phrase “How to draw” leaps out as an obvious dvd subject, perhaps even a dvd/book package.
All you need is an impoverished art student who can draw and you are in business. Get a couple of books from the library or the local art shop and there is your outline.
I’m still working out how you could fill a whole dvd with kissing, but if you can come up with something, there’s another big market waiting to be tapped!
Next, try putting in “How to b” and you get this:
When you see that there are half a million results for how to boil an egg, you realise that – in this “take away, freeze dried, boil in a bag, throw it in the microwave” age, there is still a market for cookery books of all sorts.
So don’t underestimate your own knowledge and experience. Whatever you know – and probably take for granted - is probably a product many people out there are searching for!
Then when you’ve done with the “b”s, try the “c”s and so on.
