Don't panic . . . I'm not suggesting you start writing software or, in fact, do anything that requires years of training.

What I am suggesting is by using the proven principles so successfully used by Mr Gates, you can escape from the rat race and create a new life for yourself and your loved ones, where you finally break the link between what you earn and the number of hours you spend earning it.

In fact, Bill Gates did not invent this business model. The same technique is used by movie makers, writers, publishers and a whole host of rich and successful. It has three elements. But, because Bill Gates has been so spectacularly successful at exploiting the model, let's look at how he does it.

If you buy a Bill Gates software programme, such as Powerpoint or Word, what do you get for your money?

You get a fairly empty cardboard box with just a single CD inside.

Now I buy blank CDs for 40 pence – and I bet Mr Gates pays even less than that. Yet millions of people are happy to pay £300 or so for a 40 pence piece of plastic. Interesting, don't you think?

Now there's no denying a tremendous amount of work went into writing those software programmes, and it is this content - rather than the intrinsic value of the disc of shiny plastic - that concerns buyers at £300 a pop.

Now consider this also . . .

You only have to make the product once – yet you can get paid again and again and again.

No wonder Mr Gates has a few bob!

So, instead of going green with envy, let's see how we can profit from this example.

• A 40 pence product with a low intrinsic value, but with a high technical content, giving added value (£300) people are happy to pay for, because of what it can do for them.

• A unique product to which you own all the rights. If people want the product, they have to come to you to buy it. You have no competition.

• A product that only needs to be created once and then can be reproduced cheaply, on demand hundreds and thousands of times and sold for a very high profit – all why you do something more interesting.

Not only that, we've also stumbled on the same principle that has made J.K.Rowling one of the richest women in Britain, because she went from Social Security to £650million in a very short time by using the principle of passive income.

Creating a passive income makes you immediately better off than your doctor or your solicitor

Do you realise that, for all their years of intensive training and high income, your GP, solicitor and dentist are just as much on a treadmill as the man who collects the contents of your dustbin. Sure, they earn a bigger salary, but if they stop work, so does the income.

Like most people, who earn rather than make money, they are living hand to mouth - just one salary cheque from disaster!

And can you imagine making a living being a dentist, which means spending every working day staring at people's molars?

On the other hand, you can spend a few interesting hours in the comfort of your own home creating a product. You only do this once, yet this product can continue to provide you with an income, even if you don't feel like working and want to take six months or more off work.

Your escape plan for financial and time freedom

Do you realise what a marvellous age we are all living in? Forget global warming, bird flu and terrorists for a moment and realise there has never been a time in history when the little guy and girl had such a perfect opportunity to create their very own dream lifestyle.

And the major reason for this is new technology. For a few hundred pounds you can get your hands on the most sophisticated - yet easy to use - equipment, allowing you to create your perfect lifestyle by giving you the essential ingredients for this: plenty of money and plenty of time to enjoy it.

It's precisely those elements that are missing from people in the job treadmill – or even in a traditional business.

In fact, I'll tell you later about a guy who has both a traditional business – lots of staff and overheads and a business like the one you'll be able to create.  His new business has just him and one part time helper, yet it makes far more money with far less hassle than his other business with many employees.  The only reason he doesn’t close the original business down is he feels obligated to all his employees.

And that brings me to another advantage of this amazing business: not only do you sidestep all the costs and other problems of having staff, you also avoid the personal entanglements. In this business, when a piece of equipment starts to let you down it can be replaced with a better model in hours. No redundancy payments, no unfair dismissal tribunals – in the dumpster. End of story.

How can you put theory into practice in your life?

Let me be your guide. I'll show you, in detail, how I have simply translated the principles of Bill Gates and J K Rowling into a business model that was practical for me. I've found it works- and works exceedingly well. And the beauty is this: you can adjust the model so it's practical for you, depending on your own unique knowledge and experience.

What I do is simple. I take a blank DVD, which costs me 34 pence, insert it into a slot in my computer and a little while later it pops out, having now increased in value by about 6,000% and more. I then pop it in a box, put it in an envelope and pop it in the nearest post box to someone who has already paid me anything from £97 up to £297 for this plastic disc that cost me 34 pence! 

You see, like the buyer of the Bill Gates software, the recipient doesn't care how much profit I'm making on the deal – only what the product can do for them.

So, when I tell you one of my products shows them in some detail how to make at least £20,000 from a property deal, in a matter of months and where the only money they put at slight risk is £300, you can see why they are quite happy to pay £97.00  for the information on this 34 pence disc. It's exactly like buying a similar 40 pence disc from Bill Gates – only that has his Word programme on it and costs  £300.

Here's a few hard facts and figures for you

Let's look at a specific product, over a seven day period.

Here are the takings of this triple DVD set, mentioned above, which I sell for £97.00.  Just one product, in one week. 

As you can see, the merchant account charges total £3.50, so I receive a gross profit of £93.50 for every sale. From this must come my production and delivery costs. 

Let's do the maths . . . GROSS PROFIT:     Three blank DVD discs costing 34 pence each (inc vat) Two DVD cases costing 25 pence each (inc vat) One padded envelope costing 29 pence (inc vat) Postage £1.26 NET PROFIT:

£93.50     £1.02 £0.50 £0.29 £1.26           £3.07 £90.43

That's a NET PROFIT OF 93.22%. Compare that with one of Britain's most successful companies: Tesco, who give a party when they announce a tiny net profit of just 6.5%

I sold these particular DVDs from my website, so there were no marketing costs. You might sell these via paid advertising, so there would be some advertising cost to deduct from your total net profit. I'll give you full details of how to go about that, but essentially I recommend using small classified adverts to invite people to your website. This means you can have full details on a website, like this one, for about six pounds a month – instead of paying a fortune for glossy adverts or risking your shirt on a direct mail shot.

I'll show you how to get a fully working website, complete with a credit card facility exactly like this one. 

I also sometimes use paid advertising in the form of small classified adverts in newspapers, but as these only cost about £40 a week and account for half or less of my total sales, my average advertising costs, spread over all my sales is effectively halved.

You can now see what I mean about high profit products. Here are just 13 sales, giving a total net profit of (13X £90.43) = £1,175. Not bad for a weeks work – about twice the national average wage and from just one product on one website. But here's the real kicker . . .

It actually took me just  a morning to make this £1,175

So, if the money isn't bad, the hours are even better!

It took me less that four hours to burn the DVDs and print the labels on them. 

So what "work" was involved in that? 

Well in a spasm of herculean effort, I actually made 20 sets on a Monday morning, of which 13 sets were bought for a total of £1,175 net profit within the following seven days. So I put a total of 60 blank DVD discs into the DVD tray in the side of my computer and clicked the mouse. Then, while the first disc was being burnt, I fired up my second computer and printed 20 DVD box labels on my laser printer. In fact, that took little more than another click of the mouse.

Then I sat back, read a magazine, listened to some music and drank some tea. Every so often, when a finished DVD popped out of the side of my computer, I replaced it with another blank DVD, pushed the tray in and clicked the mouse again.

Life is tough!

Of course it wasn't all as laid back as that, because every time an order came in, I had to galvanise myself to actually print out the address label, stick it on the envelope and stroll to the postbox. Not too strenuous as it gave me an excuse to visit the pub and I was buoyed up by the thought that every single envelope I dropped into the post box had already put ninety quid into my bank account!

In fact, I didn't need to go through all this martyrdom, as there are plenty of firms out there who will make the DVDs from your master copy and then send them out for you. But, I was conducting a small test from my website on this particular product, so I took the DIY route.

Which brings me to another important advantage with this business over many others. . .

There are very few businesses where you can make just as many copies as you need to test an idea and then seamlessly step up production in line with increasing sales. Just imagine selling books or similar products. The type setting and origination costs are enormous, so you need to spread the cost over many thousands of units. And all this has to be done in advance of knowing if you're going to sell that quantity.

Compare all that risk with this business. Here, all you risk is a few hours of your time on a idea you've already researched for free. So, if despite all this, the item does not sell, you aren't stuck with a warehouse full of products you can't sell.

You see, the beauty of this business is the passive income. Once you've made a product, and set it up, it will continue to earn money for you, with minimal effort. So you have a choice:

• Go and sun yourself on a beach somewhere

OR

• Create another product for another stream of income.

I bet, when you see how simple – almost magical - this is to do, you'll want to repeat it and so you will go on to create another product. That product will create another income for you, quite separate from the first.  That's what we call creating multiple income streams.

That product, I showed you earlier, took less than a week to actually make, but it has an appeal that will generate sales for many years to come. So if you made another similar priced product every month, at the end of a year you would have a total of 12 products, and if you only sold 13 of each a week, after they were all made, you would generate on average (12X £1,175) = £14,100 a week.

Does that sound impressive? Well here's something even more impressive. . .

That's nearly three quarters of a million pounds in a full year!

You don't even have to create your own DVDs to make money!

Once you discover how easy and exciting it is to become a movie mogul, you'll be amazed how quickly you get ideas.

However, if you find the idea a bit daunting, right now, fear not!

There are any number of creators of professionally produced, ready to go DVD sets – complete even with websites and sales literature - who are willing to allow you to allow you to make money with these, either on a joint venture, commission or license basis. I do license some of my DVDs this way.

There is a key secret to being successful with other people's ready made DVDs, which will skyrocket your results. I'll reveal it to you!

You may not make quite as much money as you would with your own exclusive product, but it will allow you to start making money almost right away whilst you create your own products later.

Whether you create your own, use reday made DVDs sets or go for a combination of both, the essential thing is you will be able to . . .   

Create the security you simply don't get with a "proper job"

We've all heard about people being given just a couple of weeks notice before being sacked. And there's an increasing number of those stories around, right now. So you owe it to yourself and your loved ones to have this business as your personal security  insurance policy.

You see, here's another advantage: suppose one of your products stopped selling. All that would happen, if one of your streams of income would dry up until you had replaced it with a fresh product.  Compare that single job, with a single stream of income. Lose that job and you lose all your income! 

And here's the best bit

At the end of the year, you'd have 12 products, which have already been created. So the only "work" you need do then is arrange for the making and despatch of the orders to bank nearly three quarters of a million pounds in the second year.

Of course, once you get a taste for leisure, you're unlikely to relish the prospect of making and packing about a gross of DVDs every week.  The good news is: you don't need to.  There are plenty of companies who will take your master disc and make as many copies as you need for about a £1 a disc and deliver them ready boxed and professionally wrapped in cellophane. Better yet, there are also plenty of businesses called fulfilment houses in the UK, who will receive your orders direct from your customers, fill these orders immediately from stocks of your DVDs they hold, which have been delivered to them, directly from your DVD makers. They then pack and post off all your orders for you.

That way, you don't even handle the products and your "working" day consists of logging onto your account to see how much money is sluicing into your bank account!

Naturally this is an extra cost, but these are variable costs, which means they only arise when you've already made money. And, if you were taking nearly £750,000 annually, you could certainly spare a few thousand and will consider it money well spent, for this reason . . . .

It will free up your time for you to . . .  

Do exactly what you want – all day and every day

Imagine being able to spend your "working week" free of work and all restrictions of time and money!

What do you fancy doing with your free time? 

Want to pop over to Paris for lunch at Maxims, there's nothing to stop you.   Want to go to Martinique for a couple of weeks to get away from an English winter? Off you go!

Perhaps you want to master some new skill. What about taking one of those residential courses in the Lake District to learn to paint. Perhaps you fancy learning how to cook delicious food at Rick Stein's cookery school in Padstow?

In fact, you'll understand the reverse of that saying: Money is TIME! Once you have money, you will have the precious gift of time to do exactly what you want – even if it's only to stand and stare.

You will have finally got ahead of the game and enjoy the blasting power of true wealth, which will allow you to guard your time like a bulldog.

Because, time is the stuff of life and thus far too valuable to be wasted earning money the old way, "working for a living", like a doctor or solicitor.

Fortunes are being made in this . . . right now

I saw a film once, where the boss asked the employee of he had read a certain technical book that would make him more knowledgeable about his job. The employee replied, "No, I'm waiting for the film to come out".

And that is the key to vast market that lies ready for us all to tap. This is a visual age. People spend more time watching TV than they ever do reading books. So they are far more inclined to slip a DVD into their player than open an instruction manual. Here's one guy who's exploiting that to the full . . .

John Cooksley: This is the chap I mentioned earlier. If you've ever bought a digital camera or similar piece of equipment, you'll know just complex they are to operate and how daunting it all is when you first buy them. So John makes a whole range of DVDs, showing how to use cameras and other equipment. He sells upwards of 500 DVDs a month!

He’ll never be short of a market, because manufacturers are always bring out new, increasingly complex, models. And, if you've just spent £600 on a camera, you won't mind paying another £30 for a DVD on how to get the best out of it.

On top of that, there are subjects that are best understood by watching a moving picture. Here's another guy who exploits that to the full:

Matt Furey: Matt's main business is body building. But when he came across a long out of print course on a specialist form of wrestling he knew what to do. He had a set of DVDs made showing the various holds and techniques in action. He markets these on the internet for about £300 a time, and I am reliably informed he’s sold over 150 sets in a year!  That’s £45,000 from just one simple product in just one year!   

Better yet . . .

Because you now own products which are exclusively yours you can earn a passive income from these by selling direct. And you can also go one better . . .

You can also sell licences to others, who will pay you handsomely for the non exclusive rights (which means you retain the right to sell them yourself as well as  licence them to others) to also sell these products in other countries. In addition you can recruit an army of affiliates to sell your product. And the future looks even brighter . . .

You can even do this in your pyjamas!

Modern technology means you can do everything without actually leaving home – or even getting dressed! Just imagine: the time you currently waste fighting the traffic or in a crowded train commuting to work, could be profitably used to make you big money. How much time do you spend? If it's only an hour, door to door, that's ten hours a week.
